Consumer textiles such as clothing and household textiles form a large and complex flow within the Dutch textile system. After use, these textiles are discarded through a wide range of channels and regularly end up in residual waste, where they do not belong. This makes it difficult to gain control over reuse and recycling flows.
Collectief Circulair Textiel is committed to creating greater structure, transparency and collaboration within the B2C value chain. By better organising consumer textile flows and connecting them to professional processing chains, we contribute to a circular textile system in which value is retained.
The main challenge within consumer textiles is the lack of overview and coherence. Textiles are released through many different routes, while information on volumes, quality and end destinations is often missing. At the same time, societal and policy pressure to increase reuse and improve recycling continues to grow.
Our solution lies in collectively organising these flows. CCT works with collectors, recyclers, reuse initiatives and other value chain partners to better track consumer textiles and ensure higher-value processing. By establishing shared agreements on registration, transparency and collaboration, clearer insights emerge into what happens to textiles after use, allowing reuse and recycling to be scaled more effectively.
In this way, we connect consumer textile flows to the infrastructure needed to truly realise circular ambitions.
Onze oplossing ligt in het collectief organiseren van deze stromen. CCT werkt samen met inzamelaars, recyclaars, hergebruikinitiatieven en andere ketenpartijen om consumententextiel beter te volgen en hoogwaardiger te verwerken.
