About
Collective Circular Textile

Founded on the belief that producer responsibility can be done differently
– with better governance and more transparency.

About us

Stichting Collective Circulair Textile (CCT) was founded on the initiative of environmental organisation Fair Resource Foundation. Where producer organisations are typically set up by producers or producer federations, CCT is a unique exception: it's the first producer organisation in Europe to originate from an environmental organisation.

Its founding is the result of years of experience with EPR systems. Fair Resource Foundation concluded that the structure of producer organisations needs to change fundamentally to achieve real positive impact for people and the environment, with better governance and more transparency at its core. CCT shows that a producer organisation can go beyond steering on low costs alone - for us, societal and environmental goals come first.

For us, the legal EPR obligation isn't the finish line, but the starting point. As a non-profit organisation, we make independent choices in the interest of people, the environment, and our value chain partners. Producer contributions flow directly back to where they belong: EPR implementation, compensation for service providers, and investment in innovation and awareness. No shareholders, no hidden agenda.

is more than a compliance partner. We bring producers, service providers and governments together to accelerate the transition to a circular textile chain - a chain in which every textile product gets the chance at a longer life. Because we represent a diverse group of producers, we don't work with a one-size-fits-all approach, but with tailored solutions in which we connect producers directly with specialised service providers. The R-ladder is our guide here: the higher up the ladder, the more value is retained.

In addition to the newsletter, there's an online session every quarter and one 'live' session per year for all CCT value chain partners, with updates on legislation and developments in circular textiles, room for questions, and active matchmaking between producers and service providers.
